I saw a group of Harley riders on the road coming toward me this weekend. Wearing black leather, riding loud machines, I admit I kind of figured “they’re some tough dudes, don’t do anything to bother them.” So I watch them rumble by and I see smiles and Santa hat or two atop their heads. “Interesting,” I think. “There’s something else going on here.” It turns out these tough dudes were leading a mission of kindness. These guys spearheaded a long line of riders who were escorting pickups towing trailer after trailer, each full of toys for kids. These were truly kind Santas on Harleys. I loved it! They were whooping and hollering, waving at people watching them, and clearly finding joy in bringing presents to kids. Well done! And a good reminder for me – no judging the book by its cover. There are lots of kind hearts under those leather jackets!
